Swim Lessons with Daddy 09/06/2009
Samuel has started swim lessons again, and he has really taken off! He kicks, paddles (somewhat), and puts his head beneath the water. He is really a little fish in the water! Last Thursday, Daddy was able to take Samuel to swim lessons since we now take him in the early evening after work is over for his lessons. Samuel really enjoyed the one-on-one time with his Daddy, and he seemed to really follow Christian's instruction, which will be good later when Christian is trying to teach him other things like hitting a baseball or dribbling the soccer ball. In the pictures, Samuel has to throw a duck ahead of where they are swimming, and then paddle his arms to reach for the duck. Samuel has a good overhand throw, so they were far ahead of the other children in the class. This allowed me to get some pictures of the lessons without making the other parents nervous about being in our pictures in their swimsuits. ☺ More Words Samuel Says 08/29/2009

Words Samuel Says 08/21/2009
The following is a sampling of words that Samuel can say. He is talking more and more coherently lately, and it is a lot of fun to hear how he says words. If you notice, he talks a lot like me because he pronounces every syllable of a word. Christian always teases me about talking like that. We'll see if he actually does talk like me... Travelin' Family Band 08/14/2009
These are the cousins who make up our family band. Samuel plays the drums, Ava plays piano, and Frederick plays guitar. It was music to our ears! They are available for gigs...contact us if you are interested. Just for reference, this was the song they were playing...a version with a piano solo for Ava. ☺ He's a Winner in Our Book 08/06/2009
Last weekend, we went and watched Daddy play at the church softball tournament. What fun we had playing on the sidelines and cheering Daddy on to a win! Can you see Samuel's head as he was sitting and eating a snack. Playing ball with Meghan. Do you think maybe one day they'll play softball? Running down the hill toward the field... almost the entire game... Helping Daddy ump. Family Day at the Park 08/04/2009
Since we have moved, we have decided each Sunday to try out a different park around us and have a picnic dinner. Since Sunday is naturally our day of rest and a family day, we decided to do this each Sunday evening together. We have had such a great time eating our dinner, playing together and taking in God's creation. Here are some pictures from our most recent Sunday picnic. |
